Ms. Hawkins has over 10 years experience working for large firms supporting DHS and over 5 years experience as a DHS employee performing various risk analyses and developing national level risk assessments. Specifically, her expertise is focused on expert elicitation and decision analysis. Ms. Hawkins has developed and facilitated several elicitation protocols and training during her time with DHS.
Specific applications of Ms. Hawkins’ work include the estimation of threat probabilities from the Intelligence Community (IC) for terrorist attacks using Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and the estimation of the effectiveness of DHS programs at reducing risks to the Nation.
Ms. Hawkins has received national recognition for her work in the fields of science and mathematics as a National Women of Color in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Technology Rising Star.
